Both of the two following works have the image of an open door, which triggered Whishaw's memory
of the open door as in Velesquez's Las Meninas and Piccasso's interpretations of the painting.

The work on paper on the left is from the perspective of actually standing inside the painting
'Las Meninas'.

As if behind Velasquez who is dressed anachronistically in Picasso's clothes, painting the king and queen.
